Blue Ridge Tutoring announces new ACT and SAT class dates
Scholarships available for qualifying students
Feel confident and ready to take the ACT and SAT this fall!
July 19, 2018 (Asheville, NC) — Blue Ridge Tutoring, a new, locally owned tutoring company serving Asheville and the surrounding area, is excited to announce two new ACT and SAT boot camp classes starting this September, 2018. Students will receive 25 hours of expert instruction over the course of five weeks. Books, materials, and practice tests to track progress are included in the course, which takes place at Hatchworks Coworking at 45 S French Broad Avenue in downtown Asheville.
“Students will leave these courses feeling ready to take on the test of their choosing and have the tools they need to increase their scores,” says Blue Ridge Tutoring owner Lea McLellan. “Our teachers demystify the test and lower student stress through high-quality instruction and practice.”
The SAT course takes place Sunday afternoons September 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, 1-6PM. The ACT course takes place Saturday mornings September 22, 29 and October 6, 13 and 20, 9AM-2PM.
Part of Blue Ridge Tutoring’s mission is to serve students of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. With this goal in mind, there will always be at least two dedicated scholarship spots in each class offered.
“Test preparation and extra guidance for college admissions for high schoolers can be cost-prohibitive for so many students,” says McLellan. “I believe this scholarship program is a step in the right direction towards making these resources more readily available to a wider student population.” Blue Ridge Tutoring is in the process of working with local nonprofits to further fill the need for college readiness assistance in local public schools and hopes to announce more community initiatives in the near future.
