Anne-Marie Farmer is a teacher and tutor with years of experience in independent, public, and therapeutic school settings. Anne-Marie earned her teaching degree from the University of Vermont where she studied Secondary Education and Psychology. She holds a dual educator's license in Vermont and North Carolina. She has worked closely with students in the classroom and individual tutoring on subjects ranging from literary analysis essays for English class and AP English courses to college application essays to SAT and PSAT test prep to general study skills. She has a passion for creating engaging and student-centered lesson plans that speak to each unique learner. She especially loves empowering students to find their voice through reading and writing and the college application process. While not in the classroom, Anne-Marie enjoys going on hikes with her lion-dog, Aslan, playing tennis, reading and writing poetry, and spending time with her friends and family.
